Michigan Wedding Photography – Nicole + John
September 16, 2011 | Category: Weddings | 5 CommentsYou may remember this awesome couple from their engagement session a while back. Yep that’s right Nicole + John are officially married! My wife and I flew up for this wedding in Michigan. We stayed in Detroit for a bit with Marie’s amazing family! Love them. Then we headed off to Flint, MI in our sweet rental car from “Monkey Mike” (uncle mike – “don’t ask I am still learning all their inside jokes”). The forecast was predicting rain throughout the day but it ended up raining once in the morning and providing beautiful weather for the rest of the day. Nicole’s mom makes the best panini in the world and I tried a whole peach for the first time in my life. Pretty incredible experience. Also, it was the first time I shot in front of a red barn which we happened to find the day of. I wish I could take parts of Michigan and move them down to Florida (like N&J – those punks moved away on us). Well, at least their happy and married and back in their homeland again. So glad we could be a part of your special day!

New Custom Chipboard DVD Packaging
September 9, 2011 | Category: Resources | 4 CommentsSo these dvd packages took a little time to research but it was definitely worth the adventure! I am sooo excited to be giving out all this new promo material. My branding is finally all coming together and it feels oh so good! I took some photos for you to see with the macro 100mm. I really love the look of chipboard packaging with black ink either screen printed, letterpressed or stamped with ink directly on top. I searched long and hard but kept coming back to Stump Town Printers for my chipboard dvd cases. Simon Stamps made all my custom stamps. Their turn around time is great and their prices seemed to be really good. All I had to do was send them a .psd file set to the appropriate size and they did the rest. I did all my dvd 4/c printing through Blank Media Printing. I have done cd/dvd printing before through several other companies and this one, by far was the best company I have ever used. They literally showed up at my door in two days! As for the twine, jean button, hot glue gun, cutting board etc. That was all bought locally at either a Michael’s or Jo-Ann Fabric. The bags are still a work in progress. Hopefully there will be a follow up post to this in the near future when everything is complete. I was really close to buying a sewing machine but my wife started getting a little concerned. So I’m taking a small break from the arts and crafts. In the mean time check em’ out! Oh and let me not forget to give credit to the most important part of this whole thing. The calligraphy artist, Jordan Jelev for creating my fancy new signature/logo. This guys work is amazing! He hand draws and creates mostly high end wine labels but he graciously helped me out with my logo and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

Deerfield Beach Family and Children Pictures
August 31, 2011 | Category: Families | No CommentsHad a lovely time shooting the Bomberger family a few weeks ago with my wife! They did a great job and their kids are adorable! The session took place in Deerfield Beach FL. We had just enough time where the lighting was perfect to sneak in a few shots. Stefan (husband/father) recently moved down (w/ family of course) from PA to become a pastor at our church. It has been great getting to know him and his family these past few months. Stefan’s twin brother Matthew actually plays for the band Reilly. They are a really talented group of musicians! As for the kids they were a blast just being themselves and getting messy in the sand. BTW – I still have sand in my pockets from this shoot. Gotta love the beach!

Mercy + Victor
July 18, 2011 | Category: Couples | 4 CommentsI’m so happy to finally post some more of Mercy and Victor’s engagement pictures! We really got lucky in the location they chose for this shoot. We just happened to be near so many neat spots in Key Biscayne – Miami. They had really creative ideas on their own and it all just worked so well. They were so natural and their love for each other was so evident during the entire shoot. I am looking forward to their wedding on 11-11-11!!!
